Artist Bio

Julie Berry’s love of art stemmed from time she spent drawing with her Dad when she was a little girl. Later in College she created pencil and charcoal drawings for her college friends. It was not until much later that she began keeping a portfolio that she had critiqued by a local art teacher. It was then that she began to branch out into other medias: pastels, oils and acrylics.

When her inventory of artwork began to grow Julie decided to unite her love for art and her devotion to community. She had an Art Show on Newbury Street in Boston and donated 100 percent of the proceeds of her art sales to the Girl Scouts. “As an Executive in Information Technology I realize the importance in investing in our women leaders of tomorrow and was please that I could support such a wonderful organization as the Girls Scouts”

Julie has displayed her art in many other venues as well as doing custom work. She support the communities around her. Julie’s work was displayed at the Saugus Community Television studio in the hopes of inspiring young artists to follow their passion. She has also donated works for an Auction in support of the Saugus Public Library, local churches and fundraisers.

“I love painting and bringing a canvas to life. My greatest personal achievement as an artist was taking one of my Dad’s sketches and finishing it. The co-artist project hangs in his room in West Virginia and I enjoy seeing when I visit.”
